Files
Every document you upload is kept, previewable, and reusable in a later deck.
What lands in Files
Everything you upload, from wherever you uploaded it:
- Documents attached to a prompt when generating a deck.
- Files dropped into a chat with the assistant.
- Uploads made directly on the Files page.
- Files imported from Google Drive or from a link.
What you can do with them
Preview. Click a file to see inside it without downloading. PDFs and images render directly. For Word and PowerPoint, you see the extracted text, which is what Preso actually writes the deck from. If a document extracted badly, this is where you would notice.
Reuse. When you build a deck, choose Your files in the composer instead of uploading again. The same document does not get stored twice.
Add to a project. A file attached to a project grounds every deck in that project. See Projects.
Delete. Single or in bulk. Deleting a file removes it from your library, but decks already built from it keep their slides.
Storage
The Files page shows how much space you are using. Uploads are capped at 50 MB per file.
Supported formats
PDF, Word (.docx), PowerPoint (.pptx), plain text and Markdown are read for their text. Images are stored and can be used in decks. Google Docs, Slides and Sheets are exported to text when imported from Drive.
